gratitudes, gender trash from hell, transness, punishing the working class, ending the filibuster
yesterday iwas grateful for coffee with donna and the gas fireplace service man...
today i am looking forward to successful meetings at the cemetery and starting the weekend...
this morning i ran across an article on a zine publication called gendertrash from hell... a zine published from 1993-1995... there were four issues... a fifth was in the works but never published... they have been republished as a single volume book... i am curious... i ordered a copy... i am expecting to be shown the edges of trans culture as well as hopefully to find a better understanding of what i am in relation to trans culture... am i simply a cross dresser?... which, honestly, should be enough but in my mind i am more than that... my feminine nature trumps my masculine nature such that i want to wear feminine clothing and makeup and be the feminine i want to see... i fall short of wanting a full transition... as strongly as i have been compelled to dress femininely and be feminine in my nature, i have never felt that same strong urge to do a full transition... there are restraints on that... i worry about the health implications at this stage of my life... i worry that my wife would not be able to handle a full transition and the last thing i want is to loose our marriage...

Gendertrash invited its reader, in the âWelcomeâ at the start of Issue 1, to âlaugh with, sing with, cry with, hear, touch, feel, associate with other gender queersâ (that dorky âassociate withâ still hits me where I live). Gendertrash called cis people âgeneticsâ and meant it. It said âIâd rather be dead than geneticâ and meant that too. It said âTheory mutilates, surgery liberates.â Gendertrash had cover girls. Gendertrash had a Hooker of the Year. Gendertrash had TS Butches.
tonight i am hoping to read at LitLit, a literary open mic in beacon, ny run by my friend donna... the same donna i had coffee with above... i have been wanting to read a peice called packing list for a trip to seattle... my transition to feminine expression and territory has turned me into a bit of a fashionista... on my last trip out to seattle i packed three bags with all the outfits and accessories i wanted to have with me... it used to be that i had a simple jeans and t-shirt, long and short sleeve, uniform... everything i needed fit into a overhead compartment suitcase... while i was in seattle i bought a large hardshell suitcase that gives me the impression of a steamer trunk on wheels... it is big enough to carry the outfit and accessories options i now must have with me... a simple uniform isn't enough anymore... my transness trends towards feminine mystique presentation... a bit girly girl... ideally, one doesn't repeat an outfit over a two week time period... i suppose this will be viewed by some as a bourgeois life style... i am a bit guilty of that... though not to imelda marcos levels... i have no ambition to afford that level of consumption... enough for two weeks of non repetition and four seasons...
here is the packing list, still a work in progress...

âNone of this is complicated,â political data specialist Tom Bonier wrote yesterday about Tuesdayâs dramatic Democratic victories around the country. âThe [Republicans] ran on affordability in 2024. They gave sanctimonious lectures on cable news on election night about how the âsilent working class majorityâ had spoken. Then they governed as reckless authoritarians, punishing the working class.â
Trump had a different approach to Tuesdayâs news. He met with Republican senators before the cameras and admitted that the shutdown had badly hurt the Republicans. But rather than moving to compromiseâas all previous presidents have done to end shutdownsâhe reiterated his crusade to make sure Democrats can never again hold power. He demanded that Republican senators end the filibuster and, as soon as they do, promptly end mail-in voting and require prohibitive voter ID. âIf we do what Iâm saying,â he told the senators, Democrats will âmost likely never obtain power because we will have passed every single thing that you can imagine.â
please let them fail to do away with the filibuster... the mountain will get tall and steep if they do...
