After a brief introduction touting what it claims are the administration’s great successes, the document begins by announcing the U.S. will back away from the global engagements that underpin the rules-based international order that the World War II Allies put in place after that war to prevent another world war. The authors of the document claim that the system of institutions like the United Nations, alliances like the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and free trade between nations that established a series of rules for foreign engagement and a web of shared interests around the globe has been bad for the U.S. because it undermined “the character of our nation.”
there is a major realignment going on... it is so significant that i am forced to examine my allegiance to the old NATO world order and wonder, will this new order necessarily be a bad thing?.. is NATO what has been keeping us from a world war since the second ww?... or is it really about avoiding nuclear armageddon?... in which case, is the sphere of influence model a bad one?... it is from the point of view of despotic leadership... but, is the concept of an alliance of the americas a bad one?... as a broad concept?... of course, what i envision is a league off American nations... not the white supremicist lead sphere of influence proposed by the trump administration...

To achieve their white supremacist country, the document’s authors insist they will not permit “transnational and international organizations [or] foreign powers or entities” to undermine U.S. sovereignty. To that end, they reject immigration as well as “the disastrous ‘climate change’ and ‘Net Zero’ ideologies that have so greatly harmed Europe, threatened the United States, and subsidize our adversaries.”
it suggests that our southern neighbors will become the "slave" labor of the white northern populations... and their resources will be appropriated as the united states sees fit...
none of this is ok with me... except that a realignment may be inevitable and if it can't be stopped what is the best form it could take?...
personally, i don't want anything despot led...
we have been watching christmas movies... christmas is the tradition we grew up with, but we tend to come from a non-religious secular approach... even so, there are movies from childhood and new ones... here is what we have watched so far...

- a boy named christmas (from norwegian myth)
- miracle on 34th street (2 versions)
- the feast of 7 fishes (a wonderful movie with lots of character actors doing a bang up job)
- one last night i don't remember the name of... an oldie
i intend to watch and advent calendar's worth as i do every year... the list will expand as we go along...
i also lined up my christmas cookie baking menu...
- molasses cookies with a kick
- peanut butter blossoms
- rum balls
- mexican wedding cakes
- hungarian kifli cookies
- grizzle knuckles cookies
there may be more or the list may shift a little when i talk to my wife about it... for now, this is it... hoping to get the baking done this weekend...
