junkyard-dog-man

i passed junkyard-dog-man again this morning… he stared at me… he stopped walking, turned, and continued to stare at me as i passed… it was very aggressive…

i am wearing a pretty black and white floral sundress… spaghetti straps… just covering my breasts… i am wearing a choker necklace with thick black cord and a dark blue heart shaped stone dangling from it… i have makeup on my face including soft plum lipstick which sits at the border between red and purple…

i attract attention when i am dressed full femme… most of it is polite curiosity, some of it is quiet disapproval, some of it is pleasantly embracing…

most of us have been taught that it is not polite to stare… when dogs stare at one another hair usually raises on the back of their necks… it is about establishing dominance… people do this too…

there is hostility in junkyard-dog-man’s gaze… i can feel it’s intensity following after me… i wonder if this is the discomfort women feel when a strange man stares at them… discomfort underlaid with primal fear… i can empathize, though i think junkyard-dog-man’s gaze would have a different (though still very threatening) read, if i were an attractive young woman and not a feminine presenting man…

in either case the prevailing instinct is to move out of attack range of the aggressive starer… this i do at a little more than a leisurely pace, checking out of the corner of my eye to see if he follows… he does not… the fear moment passes…

i will avoid junkyard-dog-man in the future…
